Hats and Accessories
From time to time I like to design with my accumulating collection of interesting “stuff”. By adding left over pieces of handwoven fabric to the stash, I combine collection with creation. No two pieces can ever be the same as my stash contains small quantities of beads, buttons, vintage fabrics and jewelry. Handwoven fabric scraps are sewn in a crazy quilt technique to make the crown of my hats. More scraps are embroidered and embellished along the brim. Each hat is lined and has a small amount of elastic in the back to allow for sizing.
The knitted purses are a side departure for me. When my studio was being built, my looms were in storage. Thank goodness my mother taught me how to knit! During that time of construction, I began to knit purses. One of a kind embellishments give each purse its own unique style. Vintage scarves become lining in many of the purses.
Prices range from $58 for necklaces to $125 for hats. Because these are one of a kind, inventory always changes. Pictures can be sent upon request.
